EBOO
A closer look at an EBOO session at RegenexMed.

What Is EBOO?

EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation) is an advanced form of ozone therapy that combines blood filtration and detoxification with the therapeutic effects of medical ozone for the restoration of health.

During treatment, blood is gently drawn from one arm and continuously circulated through specialized equipment. The blood passes through a medical-grade filter and is exposed to a precisely controlled mixture of medical oxygen and ozone before being returned through the other arm.

Unlike traditional ozone therapies that treat smaller amounts of blood at one time, EBOO uses a continuous, closed-loop system that can process approximately 1–3 liters of blood during a typical one-hour session.

Because blood circulates throughout virtually every tissue and organ, EBOO provides a systemic, whole-body approach rather than focusing on one isolated area.

LIVING LONGER MATTERS, LIVING WELL MATTERS MORE

At RegenexMed, our focus is not simply on lifespan — how long you live.

Our focus is Healthspan — how well you live during those years.

Healthspan means maintaining the energy, mobility, mental clarity, strength, resilience, independence, and physical capacity to continue doing the things that matter to you.

As we age, our bodies face an accumulation of challenges. Environmental exposures, oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, metabolic changes, changes in circulation, lifestyle factors, infections, and the normal effects of aging can all place additional demands on our biological systems.

Our approach is to support these underlying systems and help the body maintain function and resilience as we age.

EBOO fits naturally into this philosophy because it takes a whole-body approach — combining filtration with medical ozone while supporting biological processes involved in circulation, oxidative balance, inflammation, immune regulation, metabolism, detoxification, and cellular function.

What to Expect During an EBOO Treatment

EBOO is performed while you are comfortably seated or reclined.

An IV line is placed for blood to leave the body and another for it to return. Once the system is connected, blood continuously circulates through the EBOO equipment, where filtration and ozone treatment occur before it is returned to your body.

A typical treatment takes approximately one hour.

You remain awake throughout the procedure and can relax, read, listen to music, or use your phone.

Most people are able to resume their normal activities following treatment.

The number and frequency of treatments are individualized based on your health history, goals, medical evaluation, and response.

Think of It as Improving the Environment Your Cells Live In

Every cell, tissue, and organ depends on the blood circulating through it.

Your blood delivers oxygen and nutrients, transports hormones and signaling molecules, carries metabolic byproducts, and connects virtually every system in your body.

The healthier that internal environment is, the better positioned your cells are to perform the functions they were designed to perform.

A simple way to understand our approach to EBOO is:

Reduce unnecessary biological burden where possible. Support the body's natural regulatory systems. Improve the environment in which your cells have to function.

The objective isn't simply adding more years to life.

It's adding more healthy, active life to those years.

That's Healthspan.

What Does EBOO Do?

EBOO combines two important processes:

Clinical equipment, connected tubing and a canister

Blood Filtration & Detoxification

As blood circulates through the EBOO system, it passes through a specialized filter that helps separate certain substances from the circulating blood.

This filtration can contribute to detoxification and reducing certain unwanted circulating burdens.

It's important to be clear about what detoxification means. EBOO does not remove every toxin from the body — no single treatment does.

However, laboratory testing and emerging research have demonstrated changes in certain measured environmental compounds following EBOO, supporting continued investigation into its potential role in reducing specific environmental toxicants.

EBOO may therefore help reduce certain circulating burdens while also supporting the body's own natural detoxification and elimination pathways.

Detoxification is part of what EBOO may accomplish. It isn't everything EBOO does.

Medical Ozone & the Body's Adaptive Response

The second component of EBOO is medical ozone.

When ozone interacts with components of the blood, it creates a brief, controlled oxidative stimulus that triggers biological signaling throughout the body.

This concept is known as hormesis — using a controlled stressor to stimulate the body's own protective and adaptive responses.

Rather than simply adding more oxygen to the blood, ozone therapy may influence biological processes involved in:

  • Healthy circulation and blood flow
  • Antioxidant defenses and oxidative balance
  • A healthy inflammatory response
  • Immune system regulation
  • Cellular oxygen utilization
  • Cellular energy and metabolism
  • Detoxification and elimination
  • Cellular resilience and recovery

These systems are interconnected and play important roles in our ability to maintain health, adapt to stress, recover, and age well.

Why a Systemic Approach Matters

EBOO is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any specific disease.

But that doesn't mean its potential benefits are limited to one particular health challenge.

One of the reasons EBOO is so interesting is precisely because it isn't focused on one disease or one organ system.

Circulation, inflammation, oxidative stress, immune regulation, cellular metabolism, detoxification, and mitochondrial function influence health throughout the body.

When these systems are functioning well, they help create the biological foundation for health, recovery, and resilience. When they become overwhelmed or dysregulated, the effects can potentially be felt across many different systems.

Because EBOO works systemically, it may provide supportive benefits across a broad range of health challenges and health goals.

We don't think of EBOO as treating the name of a disease.

We think of it as supporting the person and the biological systems that influence their ability to function, regulate, recover, and remain resilient.

EBOO isn't a cure-all. No treatment is.

The goal is not to treat everything.

The goal is to support the body that is dealing with everything.

Is EBOO Right for You?

EBOO is used as part of a broader, physician-guided approach to health and healthy aging.

Because its effects are systemic rather than disease-specific, EBOO may be considered for people with a variety of health concerns and goals, including:

  • Chronic Fatigue and Low Energy
  • Chronic Inflammation and Persistent Pain
  • Brain Fog and Cognitive Difficulties
  • Long COVID and Post-Viral Symptoms
  • Autoimmune and Inflammatory Conditions
  • Mold Exposure and Environmental Toxicity Concerns
  • Poor Circulation and Cardiovascular Health Concerns
  • Healthspan and Healthy Aging

Some people explore EBOO after they haven't achieved the results they hoped for through conventional approaches alone.

Others use integrative therapies alongside conventional medical care.

Still others are primarily interested in maintaining their health and function before significant problems develop.

EBOO is not a replacement for appropriate medical care.

Rather, it can be one additional tool within a comprehensive approach to supporting the health of the individual.

AGING IS INEVITABLE, HOW YOU AGE IS OPTIONAL

There is no single therapy, supplement, medication, diet, or procedure that creates health.

Health is the result of many interconnected systems working together.

That's why our approach at RegenexMed isn't about chasing the latest biohack or promising that one treatment can fix everything.

It's about supporting the fundamental biological systems that influence how well you function today — and how well you may continue to function as you age.

For some people, that means supporting the body while dealing with existing health challenges.

For others, it means improving recovery and resilience.

And for others, it means being proactive today in order to protect tomorrow's healthspan.

EBOO is one of the tools we use toward that goal.

Questions

Your questions, explained.

What does EBOO stand for?

Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation. Extracorporeal simply means outside the body. EBOO ozone therapy is a breakthrough in detoxification and health restoration. This therapy filters and oxygenates blood outside the body, removing toxins and revitalizing cells.

EBOO is particularly effective in assisting with chronic conditions by enhancing oxygen delivery and immune function, which promotes overall well-being and disease resistance.

How is EBOO different from an IV infusion?

An IV infusion delivers a selected formulation into a vein. EBOO circulates your own blood through an external circuit and back to you. They are different procedures, even when discussed within the same care plan.

Why Is EBOO Different From Traditional Ozone Therapy?

Traditional major autohemotherapy treats a relatively small amount of blood at one time. Blood is removed, exposed to ozone, and returned to the patient.

EBOO is continuous.

Blood leaves the body, moves through the EBOO system, passes through filtration and controlled ozone exposure, and is continuously returned.

This allows a substantially larger volume of circulating blood to be processed during a single session.

But treating more blood isn't the entire story.

What makes EBOO particularly interesting is the combination of:

Filtration + Medical Ozone + Systemic Biological Response

Together, these make EBOO fundamentally different from simply receiving an IV or treating one isolated part of the body.

How long is a visit, and how many sessions are needed?

Your EBOO appointment is 90 minutes and the treatment time is an hour or more which depends if any additional treatments are added on.

The number and spacing of any sessions are individualized; a website cannot determine a treatment course for you but our team of experts will help you with those decisions.

Who Should Not Have EBOO?

EBOO isn't appropriate for everyone.

EBOO is generally avoided or requires additional medical consideration in people who are:

  • Pregnant
  • G6PD deficient
  • Significantly anemic
  • Experiencing certain bleeding or clotting disorders
  • Known to have a history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia
  • Experiencing uncontrolled hyperthyroidism
  • Medically unstable, including certain unstable cardiovascular conditions

Other health conditions and medications may also affect whether EBOO is appropriate.

Because EBOO is a medical procedure, each patient is evaluated individually. Your medical team will review your medical history, medications, relevant laboratory testing, and individual risk factors before treatment.

The question isn't simply whether you can receive EBOO. It's whether EBOO makes sense for you and your health goals.

Does EBOO replace other medical care?

No. RegenexMed considers it within a broader, individually assessed care plan. It is not a replacement for diagnosis, prescribed treatment or ongoing care with your medical team.

What should I do before and after a visit?

The clinical team provides instructions specific to your history and procedure. Ask about preparation, medicines, follow-up and when to seek medical advice. Do not change prescribed medication based on general website information.

Evidence & individual suitability

EBOO is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any specific disease. Individual responses vary. Medical ozone therapy and EBOO remain areas of ongoing research, and potential benefits described here should not be interpreted as guaranteed clinical outcomes.
