Our team

The people make the difference.

Eight people, different paths through healthcare, gathered around the person receiving care. Meet the founders, clinicians and educators who bring those perspectives together.

Our team

Where experience converges.

RegenexMed was not built around a single treatment or a single philosophy of medicine. It grew from decades of experience - and from bringing together people whose paths through healthcare and healing have been very different.

Our team spans conventional medicine, functional and Eastern medicine, energy medicine, advanced nursing, and specialized experience with emerging regenerative therapies.

Some of us have spent our careers in hospitals and acute-care medicine. Others have spent decades looking beyond individual symptoms to understand the broader influences on health and function. Some come from research and education. Others have developed deep, hands-on expertise with specialized therapies.

Different disciplines. Different perspectives. One team.

What connects us is a belief that no single approach has every answer - and that something important can happen when experienced practitioners are willing to look beyond the boundaries of their own disciplines.

That convergence is RegenexMed.

Meet the team.

Gordon Merkle, L.Ac.

Gordon Merkle, L.Ac.

Co-Founder

For more than forty years, Gordon Merkle has approached health with a fundamental question: What is driving the problem, and what can we do to help the body function better?

Read full biography of Gordon Merkle, L.Ac.

A Licensed Acupuncturist and graduate of the inaugural class of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 1987, Gordon has spent his career studying and integrating a broad range of therapeutic disciplines, including acupuncture, functional medicine, bodywork, Vector Point Cranial Therapy, nervous-system regulation, and energy medicine.

That experience shaped a whole-person approach to care - one that looks beyond isolated symptoms to consider the many factors that influence how someone feels and functions. His particular interest in the effects of chronic stress also led him to develop techniques designed to calm the nervous system and support healthy vagus nerve function.

Gordon co-founded the Victoria Merkle Center of Energy Medicine, where he taught for 28 years, and Blue Buddha Therapeutics, an organic herbal company focused on innovative topical formulations.

RegenexMed is a natural evolution of that work: bringing decades of hands-on clinical experience into the same environment as advanced medical and regenerative technologies.

For Gordon, technology is a tool. The person always comes first.

Victoria Merkle, Ph.D.

Victoria Merkle, Ph.D.

Co-Founder

For more than four decades, Victoria Merkle has explored the relationships among stress, the nervous system, human connection, and the experience of healing.

Read full biography of Victoria Merkle, Ph.D.

Victoria founded the Victoria Merkle School of Energy Medicine in Encinitas, California, where she spent decades training hundreds of practitioners at foundational and advanced levels. Her work has centered on understanding the human energetic system and translating that understanding into practical, hands-on approaches to health and well-being.

She holds a doctorate in Human Sciences from New Mexico Theological Seminary and collaborated with the University of California, San Diego on research examining hands-on healing with breast cancer patients.

Victoria is also a co-author of The Turning Point with Jack Canfield and is writing a series of books on energy medicine, including a comprehensive handbook intended for future educational programs. Together with Gordon, she co-developed Transdermal Synergy(TM), the topical delivery system used throughout the Blue Buddha Therapeutics product line.

At RegenexMed, Victoria brings the perspective of forty years spent working at the intersection of physical health, stress, the nervous system, and the human experience of healing.

Her philosophy helped shape the clinic itself: advanced technology and whole-person care do not have to exist in separate worlds.

RegenexMed brings them together.

She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Wellesley College, followed by an Ed.M. and Ed.D. in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University, and completed a postdoctoral seminar in neuropsychology at Harvard Medical School. Before entering clinical work, she spent more than two decades in academic research and teaching, contributing to developmental psychology research through Wellesley College, Brown University, and the Harvard School of Public Health and teaching at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

In 2015, Marjorie moved to California to work with the late Dr. Todd Ovokaitys, M.D., developer of laser-activated VSEL technology. At Qigenix, she progressed from Assistant Clinic Coordinator to Clinic Coordinator and later served as Director of Clinical Research. Her work included daily clinic operations, VSEL procedures under the direction of medical staff, traveling clinics, protocol development, and practitioner education.

She wrote the VSEL training manual used to prepare licensed practitioners and helped organize and co-lead physician training in the protocols.

At RegenexMed, Marjorie brings that experience directly to patients - helping them understand the VSEL process, what to expect, and how it fits within the clinic's broader approach to regenerative and integrative care.

How we work

A personal approach to care.

Listen first.

Listening is where care begins. We start with your history, your questions and what matters to you — not with a procedure already in mind. Understanding the person in front of us shapes everything that follows.

Bring perspectives together.

Our team brings different experiences: conventional and emergency medicine, nursing, integrative care, Eastern traditions and patient education. We let those perspectives inform one another rather than choosing a single lens.

Choose with care.

Individual assessment may lead to a different option than the one first considered — or to no treatment at all. Technology and human connection belong in the same conversation, and the decision rests with you and the clinician.

One person. More than one perspective.

RegenexMed began with a question: what could care look like if experienced people from different disciplines came together around the same person?

That is the purpose of convergence here. Your history, daily life and priorities belong alongside the clinical conversation. The next step should reflect that fuller picture of you.

More than the sum of our specialties.

There is a reason the RegenexMed team looks different.

It took decades for these paths to intersect.

Conventional medicine. Functional and Eastern medicine. Energy medicine. Critical-care and perioperative nursing. EBOO and ozone expertise. Years of direct experience with emerging regenerative technologies.

Each brings a different lens.

At RegenexMed, those perspectives don't compete with one another. They inform one another.

Because the goal isn't to prove that one approach has all the answers.

It's to bring together exceptional people, thoughtful medical oversight, deep experience, and promising technologies - and then keep the focus where it belongs:

on the person in front of us.
